I will be starting a 2.5 gallon minibow tank shortly. The tank will heated but not filtered and I am not sure of the wattage of the light but I wish to put a small live plant in there. What small, easy to take care of plants would be a good choice for my aquarium?

Java moss is a fairly easy to grow plant that doesn't require much light or fuss. Christmas moss is also a good option.

Thanks for the advice. This java moss does seem to be a popular choice and I'll have to see if local aquarium stores sell it. A question I couldnt get answered through surfing the net is, How fast does it grow?

Java moss grows fairly quick, and if is gets to big just snip of what u dont want, and even replant it if u want to.
