Hi everyone. I'm want to start fishkeeping again after a long break. I had my last tank when I was 13 (some 21yr ago.)I was Thinking about getting a 3ft tank which is the same size as i had back then but no longer have unfortunately. The thing is most of the ones I've seen have not got glass sliding panels in the top like my old tank had to stop the condensation from getting on the lid. I've seen plastic sheets that can be used but these look like they could be a pain as it looks like you have to lift the whole panel out and I dont fancy fish water on my carpet. I was wondering if you can buy the slotted plastic runners and glass panels seperatley. As the only tanks I have seen with them are huge custom made jobs. I was also wondering if there were any drawbacks to having a bow fronted tank as these look nice. I was considering keeping a pair of Angels, a small shoal of peantazoni barbs, a red tail black shark and a few upside down cats. Does this sound a good combination. I will have to get a tallish tank for the Angels not sure how tall is sufficient though. I would realy appreciate any views.
Many thanks jase.

They covers can be bought seperate, you may need to look around at a few shops. Getting one for a bowfront may be a bit more difficult.
Nothing really wrong with bowfronts, although if acrylic it will scratch easier, and they seem a bit more difficult to aquascape.

As for how tall a tank, personally since all the angels I've ever seen get quite large I don't think they should be in anything under 2feet tall, but it seems that might just be a personal prefernce on my part.
