My 32 gallon which has 5 pearl danios and 2 zebras has finally finished cycling. I would just like some ideas of what kind of fish and how many I could put in. I would like to keep it as a community tank, and I would like to add some tetras next. Any ideas? Thanks.

Always a good idea is to take a wander down to your local fish shop, not to buy, but to window shop and see any fish which catch your eye and take your fancy. Write the names down, and come back here and let us know! We'd be more able to advise and you can start to see how you might like your tank to look

Tetras or Rasboras would go nicely with the Danios. Also other options could be Tiger/Green/Albino Barbs. As they are as lively as the Danios and they interact well (I had a 35GAL full of Barbs and Danios a long time ago) with each other.

For Tetra species with Danio, I would suggest Rummynose. While the Danio is the hardier of the two, the Rummynose will let you know when the Water Quality is poor (colours start to fade).

Window, or rather ....tank shopping is always a good idea. Not everything is easy to find in every area. If you're planning on keeping the zebras you might consider a few more to fill out their numbers (danios aren't as stressed in small schools as say tetras are but they're still schooling).
In addition to the tetras I'd actually suggest looking @what you might want for the bottom, IMO cory's just complete a tank ! Take into account thta you might want room for other fish when picking out your tetras .

I haven't had time lately to go the the lfs, but I am going sometime this week to pick up a few otos (I have an algae problem). Cories would be a nice addition so they would do some of the gravel vacing for me . I may not keep the danios though. I'm thinking about putting in 4 cories, 4 otos, 6 or 7 tetras, and a centerpiece such as 2 dwarf gourramis. Would this be a reasonable bioload for my tank?

Get 6 cories. They are a schooling fish.

You could probably have a bigger stock in a 32 gallon. Something like:

1 pearl gourami
10 small tetras
6 cories
4 ottos
plus a couple other small fish, like a couple guppies or platies.

They shade the glow of it with their mossy-misty costumes,
They wear masks of silk, porcelain, brass, and silver,
So as not to mislead with their own, ordinary faces.

I just went to the lfs and browsed around. I picked up 4 blue cories, which I will probably add 2 more. I also had a few ideas of fish I would like to put in. Well I like discus a lot but how many could I have in a 32 gallon tank? Other fish were cardinal tetras or glowlight tetras, dwarf gouramies, otos, and possibly some others.

There are certainly some beautiful discus out there Unfortunately, they need more space than a 32g, and aren't recommended as beginner fish - they are pretty delicate fish, who need stable pristine water, and a particular environment/tankmates to thrive and survive!

All the other fish you mentioned are good for your 32g - both the tetras need to be bought in groups, so around 6 - 8 of either species would be good. A couple of dwarf gourami's are also a good choice, and oto's also prefer to have at least one other oto friend.

I finally have some ideas for my tank. They are as following:
-I have 4 blue cories but I will increase that to 6
-4 ottos
- 6-8 cardinal tetras
- 6-8 glo light tetras
- and 2 gouramies

Would this be too many fish for a 32 gallon?
