That cycle stuff has never worked for me... I used a refridgerated stuff that had live bacteria in it ... I dont know about the others, but those fish are way huge for that tank.i thought you had all those as babies. Your fog may be waste food buildup... I am not sure, is your AC sponge clean? how old is your carbon? |

The kissing gourami alone will hit a foot in length ![]() If you really want the angelfish to continue to grow and live out a full life, I would invest in a 20 gallon tall just for him. They arent the longest fish, but get about 10 inches tall. Living in too short a tank will cause them to drag and injure their fins. You need a bigger tank or be ready to part with a lot of fish. If I try closing it off a bit when the siphoning has started then it kicks out almost immediately. Angelfish needing 15 gal - Let's just say Fishie's special...he spent the first 6 or so months of his life in a 2gal hex tank made for bettas untill I snatched him up from my ex. Filter is an "AquaClear Mini 20" that came with the tank. Uses a foam insert and an activated carbon pouch. Last edited by Pattmyn at 26-Nov-2005 13:24 Last edited by Pattmyn at 26-Nov-2005 13:26 |

About your siphon, you should pull up some of the rocks but they should fall back down again this is normal, so use it to activly suck the gravel to remove debris from the bottom. The speed well theres little I know about that accept maybe a smaller hose. If you are draining your tank fully stop doing that and only change a third to a half of your water weekly that is assuming the tank is cycled. If not then it would be best to test your water for nitrites and ammonia to make sure the water is good and do small water changes as those levels start to climb to high. oh yeah and I forgot to mention the over stock especially if you put them all in there at once when you began the tank, angels are terrible fish to use to cycle the tank they tend to die easily if water values are out of whack or fluctuate often Last edited by mrwizerd at 26-Nov-2005 13:23 |

The 20 gal. that you have is well overstocked & the Angelfish alone will need about 15 gal. of water. The White & Black Skirt Tetra's need to stay in schools of at least 6, but you don't have the space to keep them. To start with, what type of filter do you have?. http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.geocities.com/s8xi5heh/classic_blue.html http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buzaqq/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |

I would suggest using the larger clamp as the small one is a pain to put on the tube. It may be difficult to find as I have only ever seen one store carry it but many websites have it available for only a few dollars. http://www.leeners.com/racking.html "A noble spirit embiggens the smallest man" Simpsons |
