Since the corys in tank 5 have decided to breed like rabbits (91 fry & 2 more lots eggs) I now have tank 6.
It is 26ltrs or 6.8gal US and I have correct cory gravelsand, mulm from another tank, a sponge filter and am adding Seachem Stability daily to fastforward the cycle.
There are 6 cory fry in there but I can't see them, only their tracks in the mulm.

No it is not quite a sand, more like a very fine gravel.

The mulm should have lots of goodies for the cories to eat, as it was vacc'd from the feeding area in the community tank. I will eventually take it out when I do a part wc.

There are now 11 fry in there besides the glass shrimp baby. I can only see them if they move as they are the same color as the substrate.

I usually hatch the Corydoras fry in an empty tank with no substrate. They are easier to see & can vacuum the leftover food quite easily.

Take care when you clean the tank, so you don't suck up the fry.

I think cleaning might be done with a very fine airline hose and a torch.

You can also add 1 or 2 small Apple Snails & these will eat any leftover foods. Just remember, that the fry have to be free swimming, before adding the snails.

I syphoned off most of the mulm and added the rest of the 1st hatching of fry.
The sponge filter was sitting on the sand and too high in the tank so I scratched away the sand from the corner and set the filter on the glass which did the trick. I also made a little depression in the sand through the middle of the tank for better filtration.
I have discovered cory fry love little peaks and troughs in the sand.
