Complete and fairly good for a first tank although I have to say that eventually I have to remove the filter as well as the heater that went with it and replaced with an external type. Still up and running well I have to say. |

And made our own canopy, too. |

When I got my 55 I got a kit. ![]() Stella |

Posts: 2266 Kudos: 2194 Votes: 19 Registered: 18-Nov-2003 ![]() ![]() | [vote]Purchased components individually.[/vote] Besides my betta tanks, which are cheap kits, I purchased everything seperately. They don't make 20 gallon long kits (that I've seen) and my ten gallon was given to me secondhand, as was the filter on that tank, etc. I like customizing too much to buy a kit... ~Meow. Thus spoke the cat.~ |

I was already looking at the exact same items it had in it. I asked them if I could exchange the filter with another one, and it was fine. The tank worked out great. I had a few platies, guppies, and a nice clown pleco. However, I believe that if you're going for something bigger than a 10 gallon, buying all of the equipment separately is essential. |
