i purchased a Mini-bow 5. It wasn't a complete kit, because i had to buy a heater. And I updated the filter to one that an adjustable flow control...but yeah, i started with a kit.

Well it wasn't hard to go for this vote. I started off with a little tank then went bigger and bigger and each increase required bigger of everything. I bought things as I could afford them.

I didnt know any better. Didnt last too long though, i got my 25g setup almost instantly after getting frustrated over my 10g kit.
