What's the proper size tank? | |
sunspotkat Hobbyist Posts: 80 Kudos: 33 Votes: 11 Registered: 24-Feb-2006 | Ok So I have this Bala shark. I didn't know how big it would get when I bought it ( pet store people will pretty much sell you anything ). I also didn't know that they like to school. Clearly its my own fault and I should have done some research, but now that I do know these things I would like to remedy the situation. I have moved it to a 55 gallon tank and it's much happier now. However, its still growing and it's only friend is an angelfish. So I would like to get two more and upgrade to a larger tank in about a year. How large of a tank will I ultimately need for 3 full grown balas? 150 gallon? 210 gallon? I read an article that suggested a tank about six feet long. Is that resonable? I just want to get a good idea of what I will need and how much it will cost. If I can reasonably save up that kind of money then I will do so. If not, then I will need to find a new home for the one that I have now. That will be difficult though. Anyway, I'm very attached to it and I would like to have 3 full grown ones, I think that would be very cool and nice to watch. Sorry this is kind of long. Any help would be appreciated. - Meow - |
