What to do... | |
agent_orange Enthusiast Posts: 165 Kudos: 77 Votes: 31 Registered: 05-Dec-2002 | Currently I have a 72 gallon, 29 gallon, and a 10 gallon. The 29 and 10 is what I'm having trouble deciding what I want to do with. The 29 gallon has been setup for a few months and has 1 male betta and 3 zebra danios. One option I have been considering is moving the 4 zebra danio's, the black skirted tetra, and maybe one of the sets of corys out of the 72 into the 29. Then getting 5 more black skirted tetra's as well as 3 more corys. As for the 10 gallon, it is empty. I'm not sure what to do here, maybe raising ghost shrimp for a monthly meal for the discus? Any and all suggestion would be great. What does that mean, Bob? "Till the cows come home." Where have the cows been? |

Danio's are nice fish, but they are very active and tend to be very playful, nipping at one another and other slow moving fish. Also, danios need to be in larger groups - at least five or more. Your ten gallon would be perfect for the betta, then move your other fish to the 29 gallon: 7 danios 6 black skirts 6 corys The danios and black skirts will be much more compatable this way, and the betta won't get torn fins. |

So as soon as I catch the rest, if not sooner, I will get some more black skirts and 3 ottos. I gave the betta to a friend who was wanting it. I will set up the ten gallon soon and get the cycle going then go from there. What does that mean, Bob? "Till the cows come home." Where have the cows been? |

They are very interesting fish. You'd need a sand bottom and some shells. Or what about a pair of Rams or Apistos? You could plant it too! |
