djcyborg![]() Fingerling Posts: 17 Kudos: 15 Votes: 0 Registered: 28-Oct-2004 ![]() ![]() | im new to fish keeping and just setting up a 29 gal fw i have a penguin 170 bio wheel filter and a penguin power head with sponge on the other side of tank to help circulate the water more when i turn the powerhead off the bubbles seem to go away after a few minutes my question is,, is there any way to keep the power head running and not have all the bubbles, btw i have the pressure adjusted to the lowest it will go. |

The bubbles are most likely caused by how hard the water's hitting the surface. The wheel will also slow down as it develops the bacteria it needs, which is also likely to reduce the bubbles. ^_^ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

djcyborg![]() Fingerling Posts: 17 Kudos: 15 Votes: 0 Registered: 28-Oct-2004 ![]() ![]() | yeah it is a submersible power head,, i will try disconnecting the air line and see if that works. i didn't think the bubbles would be a problem but i dont really like the way they look, looks kinda like sand stirring up, i will probably end up getting a fluval 204 or something of that sort for more filtration because i dont think this is going to be enough, iuno yet. anyways i can't think of anything else right now. thanks again..
