Tiger barbs get up to 2.5 inches. There are lots of schooling fish, tetras, barbs, rasboras...

Maybe go to your LFS and write down the names of some fish you like, tell us, and we can help you figure it out.

If you want two schools, maybe go with a school of cories and a school of small tetras or barbs.

I like solublefishes idea, the cories will help clean up your tank, while the other school will bring some activity into it. Are you looking for bright colors? Maybe you would like the lemon or cardinal tetra. If you're looking for more "mysterious" colors, maybe you want some phantom tetras. You have a lot of options.

I agree with the h. rasboras, I am getting a school of them with some swordtails in a 20g.
