2ft tank looks over stocked to me, you know how big a common plec can get? it want be able to turn around soon.

Is it silver dollers that eat live plants?

i'd sort out the stock first the change the tank to fit the fish you have left.

I agree that you're overstocked. I really think the silver dollars and the Pleco need to go back....while most people seem to believe that they'll be able to return the fish once they "outgrow" the tank, that's not really possible. Fish don't "outgrow" the tank. They grow only as much as their body will let them, but internally their organs continue to grow, it's called stunting .

I'd really suggest fixing the stock before fixing the aquascaping. There's nothing like scaping the tank then tearing the whole thing up to catch a fish .

Wouldn't it just be cheaper if you bought a big tank the first time...?
