I've just put three small tanks in m room and am wondering how to stock and present them. Here's what's currently in them:

6 USGal: 3 female bettas
10 usGal long:Nothing
10 unGal octagonal: Nothing.

there's also a 15gal in another room with:
1 male Betta
2 cherry barbs
3 bronze corys

I know the corys's should have more friends, but all the other corys available around here are so much bigger than they are(mine are about 2 cm long), i'm reluctant to add them.

I thought of using the long 10gal for betta breeding, and using the octagonal 10gal ad a densly planted tank with 6 leopard danios, as it's not too octagonal, really it just has the corners rounded off.

Would these ideas work?

I would actally breed the bettas in the "octagonal" tank as they would need as much room and the regular tank would be a bit bigger. Add the other cories from your lfs or ask them if they can get some smaller ones for you. Even though they are bigger they should comfort the cories emensely. You may want to fill out the cherry school as i think they school as well. HTH a bit fish1

The cherry barbs like to be in pairs, so if they seem fine you don't gave to add anymore (but if you do, then make sure its an even number)

I would turn the empty ten gallon into a Tanganyikan Shelldweller Tank.
