Mollies and platies aren't schooling, but like company. If you'd want a male/female mix of either it's best to go with a ratio of at least 1M/2F. Danios, white clouds, and tetras are schooling and should be kept in a group of at least six. Another colorful, very good schooler are harlequin rasboras. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

They are the most colorful, and are true schooling fish. They also produce very little waste. However, as stated above, it depends on what size your tank is, and what fish are in it. |

For the rest of us 100 litres is approx. 25 US gallons. I'd still want to know what other fish exactly you have in the tank before suggesting any additions. ^_^ ![]() |

They will probably keep a relatively tight school with a betta in the tank. What bottom dwellers do you have now? (Yeah, broken record, I know.) |

And some people have noted, that schooling fish such as neon tetra's can need as much as groups of 12 or 20 to really "school" with one another, in the sense where they all move in the same motion at the same time (if this is what your looking for.) |

I would recommend returning your lone barb and your two golden algae eaters or give the striped barb a school and forgo another school. |
