Wow, you get pressured by your parents easily... Isn't it your tank, anyway?:%)

I say throw a Chaca chaca in there and leave the neons and guppies as feeders. Okay, just kidding, but the Chaca chaca is just about the biggest fish you can put in there, since they really don't do jack. Very interesting fish, IMO.

just a thought but my favorite out of all my fish in my community tank are my blue rams they are cichlids but they are not aggresive like the other cichlids just when spawning they can be aggresive but most of it is a front.they dont get big its a small fish but it is very very colorful and it has a great personality fun to watch.

i think i can fit a fancy goldfish or 2... my tank is 3feet long, 16" high and 12" wide. i use a emperor filter which would be fine. it did a great job of clearing my tank when i just started it on monday.

On the contrary--because the angel was raised with the neons since it's juvi days, it will more likely than not leave the neons unharmed as it grows older, but be sure to keep an eye on them, fish1--just to be safe.

However, if you were to add a fully grown angel into a tank of neons without proper acclimation, expect all hell to break loose.

As for the fancy, if you manage to nab a 30 gal with a fair amount of width, you MIGHT (ctrl+B+U+I) be able to get away with a lone fancy (emphasis on the might), with good, and when I say good, I mean a fit-for-a-forty gal+ kind of good filtration.

That Angel is small, fish1. When it grows it will most likely eat the Neons. I don't think I would ever put Angels and Neons together.

Goldfish get too big for a 30 gallon, really a 55 gallon would be good for two.

I second the idea of pearl gouramis. You can keep just one, and they are soooo pretty.

Have you thought about a pair of dwarf cichlids? Or my favorite cichlid, the keyhole.

EDIT: Oh! Convicts! You could only keep a pair in the 30, the other fish would have to move to the 10.

yes my parents have high influence and pressure on me -_-.

ne ways, i really want the E YEllows but according to ppl on the malawi fourms, they would eat my other fish. i dunno if i should just let em eat the fish or not get em at all. if i dont get them, ill just get some Guoramis.

apparently my mom only likes gold fishes and small fishes like tetras and livebearers... my dad only likes big BIG fishes.. im kinda in the middle.

i was thinking, what can grow pretty big and still be able to be in a 30G? i know oscars and goldfishes cant fit, but what can????

I would stay away from the angel. Im not 100% about the yellows, but im going to say i doubt it because of water conditions needed to make them happy that would conflict with the conditions needed for the other fish.
