	what fish should I get

From your previous post about heaters, I can assume that the tank will be heated. There are some smaller species such as Otocinclus that stay small (here's a link to a site that discusses them [link]http://www.otocinclus.com/[link], but they really need a heavily planted tank and in my opinion are not good beginner fish.
