Hello everyone!

I've neard that Amano Shrimp are algae eaters (or at least primarily herbivorous). Can anyone enlighten me more on these creatures? Possibly link to a web age devoted to their care?

Only I'd like to know if these critters will eat blue green algae among other things. And if they will leave fish eggs alone in an aquarium in which fish have spawned. Only if the above questions are answered in the affirmative, I might get hold of a couple.

amano shrimps don't eat blue green algae. They will most likely eat fish eggs. They are scavengers, they'll eat left over food and dead fish, so they will probably eat the eggs.

I do not believe any shrimp eat BGA (cynobacteria).

They most definitely feed on fish eggs. In fact, IME, they tend NOT to eat algae unless given no other option.
