Hi folks as you know about 8 months ago or so I bought 8 Amano Shrimp, I still have 7 left and add nothing to the water and they molt just fine..

Today I discovered the largest shrimp is carrying eggs underneath they look almost like they will spill into the water... WHAT DO I DO ? I think I have 1 female and 6 males.

It would be very nice to see if I can get these to hatch is anyone experienced in this ?

I know the eggs require brackish water, if you want to raise them.

Here's more:

I would agree based on the link I provided above that you need to be prepared. Separate tank, brackish, is a must.

It could be a worthy pursuit based on how much they net each

Excellent info..
They cost $3.00 from the fish store..
The female with the egggs seems to be either hiding or she lost her eggs

Great Link, thanks !

Now I am sure 2 of my 7 Amanos are female
Is that too high a male/f/m ratio ?
