Hi,

well i dont need a snail eater, i usually just drop a piece of lettuce to attract them then feed them to my oscars, but i've noticed alot of people asking about snail eaters for small tanks. Now unlike all u lucky people in the states, (as far as i know) we dont get any dwarf puffers, yoyo loaches, or skunk botias, etc. here in australia. and i know some people have larger tanks and so can buy clown loaches and move them across to the bigger tank when they hv eaten all the snails or some people say they return them to the LFS once they are done.

but i'm curious what us members in Aus can use to eat snails and KEEP in say a 10-20G. I found my female betta loved snails, it was really entertaining watching her hunt them down! What do you guys use?

You can get Yoyo Locaches, but they are $$.

They are about $40 each.

What about Kuhli loaches or bettas? they all eat snails.

My kuhlies will eat the bubby ramshorns, but the others are just a bit tough.
