I don't really have any means of aquiring one at present (although I could probably get my college bio department to help me. I'm sure one of our invertebrate zoologists would like to play with one ) , but I find them incredibly interesting, nonetheless. Joe Potato |

Natalie Ultimate Fish Guru Apolay Wayyioy Posts: 4499 Kudos: 3730 Votes: 348 Registered: 01-Feb-2003 | I would consider 20 gallons (and planted) to be a minimum tank size, not because of the size of the shrimp but because of how they feed. They are filter feeders, and smaller tanks generally don't have enough suspended particulate matter to sustain a shrimp. If you would be willing to feed it plankton (and had a good filter/water changing schedule to deal with uneaten plankton), then you would probably be able to keep one in a five gallon tank. I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash. |
