About a month ago I got some shrimp for my planted tanks, I don't know which variety there are, what I do know is that they aren't Amano shrimp because the guy who sold them to me told me that these are smaller (still Transparent though). Well a while ago while I was doing my routine water change, I saw in the siphon these tiny shrimp fighting the current to return to the tank. I GOT BABY SHRIMPS!!!! ![]() I don't know how these happen I just threw 5 in each tank and actually rarely see them and now I have babies, so I don't know how to care for them, should I do something special? should I feed them anything special? How many aprox. do they have? As you can tell, I have no idea about shrimp other than they eat algae. All info will be greatly appreciated. |

I think those are it, no he didn't tell, but they aren't big at all, and the only color detail i can see in just one is that it has a brownish stripe in his back, other than that they are almost transparent. They have a betta as a tank mate, but i guess since it's a heavily planted tank they managed to escape, i just saw one though. Last edited by Falstaf at 11-Feb-2005 02:43 |

Are your shrimp outwardly similar to ghost shrimp (Palamonetes paludosus and P. kakadiensis)? Under what heading did you obtain them? |
