Recently, I added an individual bamboo shrimp into my 10 gal. Whilst it was acclimating (over the course of 3 days), I noticed that the driftwood bore small patches of pale fuzz, reminiscent of wool. Id assume that this material is the result of the shrimp, as I havent encountered this until after he was added.

It sounds more like fungus to me. The same type of stuff grows on some of my drifwood and I always thought it was fungus... I don't know....

not sure what it is but it is not from the shrimp how much did you pay for you shrimp??? there really expensive up here!
