For males, the openings are behind the posterior legs. For females, they are under the third pair of legs from the rear. To condition, just feed the crayfishes a little more than usual, especially the female and provide some hiding spaces. There are more specific measures to take, but they are dependent on the species. Eggs hatch a few weeks after being laid and fry are generally scavengers. Theyll eat almost anything that can fit into their claws and mouths. |
