Any info? Aren't they known to be escape artists? Are they nitrite tolerant or are they really delicate during cycles? This is some info I gathered: -Procambarus alleni Common Name: Blue Florida Crayfish Max size: 15cm Temp: 10-22C I sorta figured they were coldwater, so I removed the heater from the tank before, and the room temp is about 69F, so it should be OK right? I am feeding it Omega One Shrimp Pellets, bu will try algae wafers also. It's currently about 2-3". |

It is good that you removed the heater, as temperture's over 72 degrees have been known to cause molting complications. You should not, under any circumstances whatsoever, keep any species of shrimp with it. Also, it is unwise to keep small or slow fish with it. As for diet, shrimp pellets and veggie wafers are the best way to go. |

During this time they are vulnerable and you may not see to much of them. I've heard raising the calcium carbonate in your aquarium will promote with a harder shell and harder shell develipment. Good luck and happy fishkeeping |
