longhairedgit Fish Guru Lord of the Beasts Posts: 2502 Kudos: 1778 Votes: 29 Registered: 21-Aug-2005 | They cant suffer from ich directly no, but like a lot of other invertabrates they can act as an intermediary host (along with snails . worms, crabs, etc) for a whole range of parasitic cysts and diseases. Scavengers are more likely to pick up cysts than others. Remember to quarantine them as you would new fish to be sure of not passing anything on from them. |
