I want to know all about ghost shrimp:

* What size tank do they need?
* What do you feed them?
* How many can I have in one tank?

They do not get very big and do not really have much of a bio-load so you can pretty much have as many as you want. I have 9 in my 10g. (but I also have a small bn, an adult female guppy, some fry and some snails). They do an awesome job keeping things clean.
As I stated in another thread I was trying to breed snails for my friend who has some clown loaches but they keep eating the eggs! I also have a big peice of hornwart and when I feed the little food for the guppy fry it gets all in the hornwart but now that I have the ghost shrimp they keep that clean too.

You don't really have to worry about feeding them unless you only have a minimal amount of fish which wouldn't leave much food for the shrimp (they are scavengers) but they will eat anything you put in there.

Here's some basic info.

They will help clean up the bottom but they aren't algae eaters. And some fish will eat them.

they seem very fragile, how long do they live? Will platys and gouramis eat them? Do they eat fish poo?
