Feeder goldies (comets) fare well with them once they get past about 6" or so, but keep in mind you'll need a HUGE tank. Also, I've heard of small feeder guppies being kept with crays. Expect a few of them to be eaten, and the rest will eventually learn to stay out of reach (of course you wont have as much of a problem if your tank has nothing for the cray to climb up onto). Not sure how snails fare, either. All this is quite troublesome, and if you want some sort of crustacean, I'd go with a shrimp + snail tank. Just as exciting, with fewer personality issues.\. |

Look in the genus Cherax and Machrobrachium. Most will enjoy a heater and most will try to renovate madly. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE GOOD HEAVY LIDS! |
