I'd suggest plain ol' snails, or amano/ghost shrimp.

What are exactly burrowing snails? I have sand so it should be good to have some so toxic waste dont build up.

Malaysian Trumpet Snails are always a good choice to keep your sand moving around.

I would also lean away from ghost shrimp as most LFS's tend to sell them as feeders and they never seem to be in great coindition. With inverts, it's always good to pay a few extra dollars to get a good quality pet.

You can get them all day long on Aquabid, sometimes with free shipping to boot. I have them in my heavily planted 75 gallon, and they are great for moving the substrate around a bit. I never see them until the lights go off, another plus. In that particular tank, I want to see the aquascape and plants, not snails stuck to the side, so it works out well.

MTS are tiny. You'll need a good deal more than five. Also, bamboo shrimp, in the presence of such large robust fishes and cories will be outcompeted for food, and unless you want to douse your aquarium with plankton daily, will likely starve.

Yep you could give them to your lfs. About the bamboo shrimp they will not be competied for food if he does it after the lights are out. your lfs should have the snails there shell looks like a trumpet. All you need is five in a few weeks you will have about 20. they are livebearers and you rarly see them but there in the sand working there magic. I have some in my 33 and i think i put like 1o in and now i dont even no how many mostly likly 30+ but its been about a month HTH.

Cories and BNs, IME, are also very active when the lights go out. Regardless if you do night time or daytime feedings, the shrimp (especially if you have more than one) will slowly starve.

Also, if you dont want a lot of snail, go with apples/mysteries. They both look stunning and reproduce slowly.
