i guess if when they come out you can't see the floor of your tank, that might be too many it seems like they are pretty good about keeping their population under control as long as you're not seriously overfeeding.

yeah, they come out mostly at night time. they are good snails though. no reason to get rid of them unless you have a specific reason to do so

Hmmm... I don't know - I always worry that I don't feed the fish enough, but in the hard water tanks they are flourishing. But at night there seem to be dozens and dozens out and about! Gangs of them!!

MTS are good snails though. you must have way too many if you're flushing them. anyway, if you cut back your feeding a little (or more ) it should be sufficient to bring their population down.
