I noticed this MTS in one of my tanks today...it was hard to get good picture but it has the most beautiful colors: green, pink, purple.

Is this caused by what its been eating?

i would think not, since i have mts in some of each of my tanks and they all eat different things and none of them is any different in color. could just be a species color variation. are there more of them that same color, or was this the only one?

I also think it's a color variation. I have seen pictures of MTS's in Europe that have blue, green, and purple irredescent pigment in their soft tissue. Like on their foot and face. That was really cool looking.

My MTS's are a color variation sold as "mocha and creme" by the breeder.

There different from the typical brown ones, evidently.

That's interesting. I noticed this one accidentally so I'll have to check more thoroughly. The tank was set up a few months ago and I just grabbed baby MTS from some of my other tanks for this one.

This tank has a lighter natural colored gravel so it shows up nicely.
