How do I know if my snail is dead or just dont want to move around? hes been in the same spot for like a day so I decided to take him out the tank and isolate him.

If a snail is dead it will most likely be hanging out of his shell motionless, however i have heard stories of dead snails appearing to be hiding in their shell because the operculum was stuck. Try applesnail.net for more info.

Alright I isolated him then he started to come out then I put him in his regular habitat and hes doing fine now thanks for the help though.

the only sure way to tell if an apple snail is dead is to smell it. if it smells *really* bad, then it's dead.
