da_fern Small Fry Posts: 3 Votes: 0 Registered: 22-Jul-2004   | Does anyone know about planarians? They seem easy enough to collect from streams. Are they a good food source for fish, or are they a threat even though they are not parasitic? |

Posts: 9662 Kudos: 5261 Registered: 16-Sep-2001    | they are a pretty good food source (ie. fish eat them readily, dont know nutritional value, assume its not much), but i would be wary of getting them from streams as the amount of 'natural' gunk in a stream that your tank-bred fish have never been exposed to can prove fatal or at least a colossal hassle. |
