So lately...my Ramshorn snail that I've had for like 1.5 years now will magically be floating in the tank. One minute, he's on the side of the glass, the next he's floating at the top with his feelers desperately trying to reach something haha.

So then, he will continue to float there until god knows when. But sometimes if you turn him upsidedown, little air bubbles float to the top and he sinks...and continues about his snail self. Sometimes this doesn't work though.

What on earth is this???? Does he like fart inside his shell or something and it sends him afloat or what? It happens like sometimes 1-2x a day.

they get air in heir shells in order to help with bouyancy

wy crawl down the river when you can float?

in order to sink they do indeed 'fart' the bubbles out
