Hi,

Will it be ok to ship MTS in a jiffy bag, (brown envelope with bubble wrap inside) they would probably be out of water for a day or two...

I don't know about England's snail mail ...but here in the states this is how I would advise shipping them:

I would gather some of the tank water in a ziplock bag (not tilling it full but half way or so) and add the MTS to the ziplock baggy. Next squeeze out the excess air and seal/zip the baggy. Now add it to another empty ziplock and seal it...Then like I said here in the states we have priority mail boxes, I'd get the small one these, wrap the baggies in paper and put them in the box...finish packing the box with paper or bubble wrap, your choice...then I'd mail it this way...

Just me but that is what I'd do...

I can say this about MTS I took out an ornament once and found out it was filled with MTS 2 days later...there was still water in the ornament though not a lot, and most of them were still alive...actually more than I want to think about....Heidi

MTS are rather hardy but if possible I would suggest waiting till the temps warm up a bit...or @least try to mail them when the temps look to be warm for a few days.

I'm fairly sure that temp issues is why my MTS have stopped breeding....as much anyway...
