The singapore flower shrimp is also known as a wood shrimp. Ive seen them on Aquabid for alot less than 13 a piece. Remeber these are mainly going to stay on the bottom walking around. If you have too many bottom dwellers may run into some problems. Also they dont move around too quick so your ottos may start to suck on them.

Or bamboo shrimp. I doubt there will be any problem with the otos. I have 2 of them, and they don't get bothered.

I wasnt referring to the shrimp bothering the ottos but vice-versa. I used to have ottos but had to get rid of them because they were sucking the slime coats off of some of my slower fish.

I wouldn't pay $13. I got one at Petco for 5.99. Interesting little bugger when I can actually see him. Most of the time he hides in one little cave made from a rock and driftwood branch. Shame because he's so neat looking but he's done a wonderful job of keeping this area clean since it is e to build up of waste between gravel vacs. Didn't know they did this myself but I'm certainly not complaining.

Definetly wait until they cycle is finished. Ive found that shrimp are very susceptible to ammonia and nitrites. Plus do you really want to take a chance with something that cost $10-15?
