Snail ID? | |
coffeeman Enthusiast Posts: 186 Kudos: 60 Votes: 21 Registered: 15-Jan-2003 | This snail turned up in my tank a few weeks ago and I was finally able to get a picture of it. To give you an idea of scale, the white blob in the bottom right is a stain from a drop of water and that is a piece of canister filter intake tubing it is clinging to. It is about 3/8" long which is somewhat larger than it was when it first turned up. Any idea what it is and what to watch out for in terms of eggs? I don't mind the one snail, but I don't want a lot of them. Edit: oh right, the pic might be good. Last edited by coffeeman at 24-Jan-2006 02:08 |

It's a common pest snail(physidae) and if you don't want 100 you probably want to squish that one. Although good chance that it's already laid eggs anyway. |
