	Substrate question with snails
kitsoncoalesced Fingerling Posts: 49 Kudos: 28 Votes: 0 Registered: 07-Jun-2004	If I were to make a snail-only tank, what substrate should I use? I'm most likely going to stick to plain gravel, as it's easier to vaccuum...but since I've never had a tank with fine sand before I'm wondering if it would help/hurt the snail any.

Kim Big Fish Posts: 327 Kudos: 436 Registered: 11-Apr-2004	Snails make A LOT of waste. I have a bare bottom on one of my snail tanks. When I gravel vac it, all the poo just flies all over the tank. The ones with gravel are much easier to keep clean. Kim
