Any males will breed with any females once they are old enough. The only problem you have is after several generations of inbreeding the quality of pretty much any animal tends to go down. Unless you start with a very large group containing both males and females and have very strict breeding practices removing any potentially less healthy animals then you need to add some unrelated breeders every few generations. Most add a few new shrimp every year and if possible from a different source.

- in the past week, two of the big mothers in the 20G have died. They had become white with green stripes and red highlights.

June 15, 2007
- another mother who had turned white and green is dead. There are 3 mommas left and they are still clear.
