Hi
I need to know what snails eat if you keep them in a bare tank with no algae, no live plants and no debris.

well, in that case they will eat nothing, but don't expect them to live long

do you know what kind of snails you have?? different snails eat different things

Any leftover fish food. Vegetables. Food made for frogs/crabs/lobsters/turtles. In a pinch, they would probably eat dog food. Why are you asking ?

Bridgessi mystery/applesnails prefer meaty foods and will eat fish foods including all flake foods, pellets, freeze dried food, algae wafers, and shrimp pellets. When I put them in a bare tank alone I feed them mostly shrimp pellets and algae wafers with an occasional leaf of lettuce weighted down with a paperclip. Cana mystery/applesnails will eat vegetation including lettuce, cucumber, zuchini, and any other vegetables or plant matter as well as algae wafers most times. Both snails will eat some of all the foods but they are happier, healthier, and live longer with a diet weighted more toward the type of snail. Alot of people feed floating pond food and their snails learn to climb to the top and grab some. You can then scoop out leftover food easily.

I think that they'll eat fish food. In tanks they eat left over food.
