	Will clown loach eat small ramshorn snails ?

So far I've been picking them out before they get big. Lotsa tiny ones. Will a CL eat them or are the shells too hard. ? Will they leave MTS alone ? pugperson Fish Addict Posts: 877 Kudos: 953 Votes: 293 Registered: 16-May-2003	Clown loaches will probably eat both types of snails in your tank. Dojo and yoyo loaches are also snail eaters. Loaches should be kept in schools and clown loaches get large, so choose carefully and thoughtfully if you decide on loaches for snail control.

It takes them awhile but they'll starve the snails out if they have to by bothering them constantly. They might take out a few mts too but the ramshorns should be easier and out in the open more. Mts are a bit of a challenge for yoyos and they don't manage to kill off the whole population. If yoyos can eat my 2" applesnails I'm sure they can handle ramshorns.

I steered clear and went to the medium tank and got one clown loach $15. ! Hopefully it will get the snails, and in a month or two selling it. Check for a post in the breeding section, will type it up shortly. More changes in the works, will need help. The Amazon Nut...
