	are sea monkeys actually brine shrimp
amico Hobbyist Posts: 112 Kudos: 138 Votes: 4 Registered: 05-Jan-2005	on a tv show today they where talkin about sea monkeys and i thought that i heard them mention that there actual name is brine shrimp, is this true and could i get a sea monkey kit and feed them to fishes if they are actually brine shrimp

(the species designation is an acronym). It would be much more cost-effective, larger size and quicker development aside, to purchase a commercially available 'shrimpery' or the like as opposed to a Sea Monkey kit.
