We only used one side of it with one uplift tube connected to a power head turned on low. Pea sized gravel, colored blue to see the shrimp better. We did water changes once a month being careful not to suck any up. Molting ghost shrimp will give you the impression that one has died, but that's not the case. They loose their skin every once in a while whenever they grow. A female carrying babies will look like little moving legs under the belly area, kinda a darker spot. Get a sinking food that is red or green and you can see the food being digested. Feed once a day or less. You can even keep them with fancy guppies, just provide plenty of hiding places. Good luck. ________________________________________ The calming qualities of a good aquarium are irrefutable |
