Extremely steep for a craw, you can get a electric blue for bout 20. And i would be careful to make sure it aint hurt or in trouble. Make sure it is healthy. I would watch it in the LFS for a while to make sure it is healthy. But if you really want him go ahead, just becarful.

It is worth it if you are willing to pay that much for just a crawdad. I mean, they really aren't that entertaining or useful. I for one would not pay seventy dollars for an invertebrate, but someone else probably will. Is it worth it to you?

go to any bait shop, and you can purchase normal "fish bait" cray fish for well under a buck. why spend $20 for a blue or $70 for a white when the same invert is so cheap?

yes, the color difference is cool, but it is the same as a standard cray fish. 20 cents for a normal crawdad, or $20 to $70 for a color variation? why????

if you are worried about diseases from wild caught stock, breed several generations in a fishless -seperate setup. crayfish are very easy to breed.
