we are talking about the small clear shrimp that grows about 1 inch right??

2 bucks... you are talking about crayfish or some other kind of shrimp?

All right, so I lied. I just bought 12 shrimp for 26 cents each.

I wanted some company for my bettas and the lone livebearer. It's too bad one my bettas ate all his companions.

I think WalMart sells them for 19 cents, and PetsMart sells them for 29 cents. I wouldn't pay more than a quarter, given their lifespans.

nope. ghost shrimp. At my LFS they were closer to 5 bucks a pop, though. For some reason ghosties are ridiculously expensive in canada.

i buy mine a dozen for a dollar.

back to where i came from, theres this small pond next to some farm land... years ago, we used to be able to catch guppies, crayfish, FW lobster, water lettuce(plant), ghost shrimps for... the price of a net but they also had snakes there too, so kinda creepy.
