You can try some loaches. Clowns are the best snail-eaters but they get too big for most tanks. You can try yo-yo loaches and weather loaches for small tanks. My Zebra will eat snails also but not as vicious towards them as my yo-yos.

Loaches will eat a lot of snails, but they won't get all of them. The snails will burrow around in the gravel below the surface, and most loaches won't dig and find all of them...

There are products that can be bought that will supposedly rid your tank of snails, but I haven't ever used any, so I can't tell you for sure whether they work or not...

The other method normally incorporated is by either adding a penny to the tank or a miniscule amount of copper. The copper will kill the snails, but it can also have adverse affects that can lead to the death of certain fish, so I'd be careful with this solution too...

PM/email/msg me if you have any questions/comments regarding me or my knowledge or if you want me to read a thread.

Yoyo Loaches will do a great job, they'll eat most of them & they'll also try to dig in the gravel for them.

if you dont want to go with the loaches as suggested before, there is a product called snail-a-way that has worked for me in the past.

Im pretty sure that if you are using the penny method, u need pennies from before a certain date because the more recent ones arent copper anymore.
