mystery solved..cherry red shrimp disappearing | |
tankie Fish Addict Posts: 857 Kudos: 848 Votes: 230 Registered: 15-Mar-2005 | i added cherry red shrimps (8) in my tank a month ago....and just after a few days...some of them disappeared..and i seldom see the shrimps roaming the tank....my lfs told me that they will not be comfortable with fish the size of more than 1.5 inch or so...i just let it there...hoping they will survive...but one week later..i dont see any except for this one shrimp that managed to survive till this day.. when i came back from work today....i was surprised it was roamin the ground on broad tank daylight...unfortunately...my shrimp killer was poking on it already..and ate its eyes...tried to rescue...but was too late....it was my 3/4 inch cherry barb that has been terrorizing all the shrimps. no more cherry red shrimps in that tank anymore....i have just 3 amanos that dont care whos in the tank..and sometimes out compete my fish on feeding time. |
