When i woke up this morning to see how the fish was doing i found 1 of my apple snail gone..i only found a empty shell..the question is who did it?
I might think it's either the keyholes or the krib.
I have still 2 apple snails left but i belive those will be gone sooner or later aswell.
These are the fish i have now:
1 Hoplo catfish
3 Zebra danios
6 Green tiger barbs
3 Mollies
2 Keyholes
1 Krib
1 Pleco
I also want to have shrimps in my tank, but iam affraid that the keyholes or the krib will eat them.
What about some Cameroun fan shrimps?

I know human beings and fish can co-exist peacefully.

If you haven't actually seen the fish picking on the snails then it could have died of natural causes. Snail lifespans are shorter the higher you keep the temperature. At 25C or 77F a snail lives a little over a year. Most with tropical tanks probably keep it a bit warmer than that. In an unheated tank they can possibly live 3years or for some species up to 10years. I don't know the compatibility of those specific fish with shrimp but I tested my community tank with 4 ghost shrimp before adding anything that was harder to find.

Kribs and Keyhole cichlids are not appropriate tankmates for snails. Cichlids in generally are too agressive. And, those in particular actually prefer soft, acidic water. Whereas snails need hard, alkaline water...

Sorry to hear about it. But, if you can move the remaining snail to it's own tank, that's the best thing at this point.
