I have still 2 apple snails left but i belive those will be gone sooner or later aswell. These are the fish i have now: 1 Hoplo catfish 3 Zebra danios 6 Green tiger barbs 3 Mollies 2 Keyholes 1 Krib 1 Pleco I also want to have shrimps in my tank, but iam affraid that the keyholes or the krib will eat them. What about some Cameroun fan shrimps? Robby Last edited by robby1619 at 27-May-2005 03:11 |

Snail lifespans are shorter the higher you keep the temperature. At 25C or 77F a snail lives a little over a year. Most with tropical tanks probably keep it a bit warmer than that. In an unheated tank they can possibly live 3years or for some species up to 10years. I don't know the compatibility of those specific fish with shrimp but I tested my community tank with 4 ghost shrimp before adding anything that was harder to find. Cichlids in generally are too agressive. And, those in particular actually prefer soft, acidic water. Whereas snails need hard, alkaline water... Sorry to hear about it. But, if you can move the remaining snail to it's own tank, that's the best thing at this point. |
