I am going to have to get them all out of the tank here before too long, but i have a probably really dumb question- but how big can pest snails get?? i was just kinda curious, thanks -kristin ![]() ~!!I lOve LiFe!!~ |

Physids are more common, from what I've seen, and don't get larger than 0.5". Lymnea stagnalis is known as the Giant Pond Snail for a reason. They can get much larger, but no more than 1.0" long. They also have triangular shaped antennas. Like little ears. |

Another problem is overfeeding, if they'll find food, they'll multiply. MTS's might be the closest exception to that, since they are livebearers. Physids and Lymneas lay jelly-like egg masses under the water, which take at least a week to hatch out. And apple snails also lay eggs, which take more than two weeks to hatch. |
