MTS are great, I have them in most of my tanks. I'd have them in all my tanks but the loaches won't let them get established.

Try going to a fish store that carries live plants and look closely in their plant tank. You may see some in there, if so ask them if you could have a few.

Good luck, Mike

My LFS regularly clears huge handfuls out of their filter system and they give them away for free just to get rid of them - I feed them to my loaches

If you're in the south west then I can let you know the details of the shop...

I can send you a few if you'd like, they are livebearers and multiply and grow pretty rapidly. I personally like them, as they don't eat plants, keep the substrate turned over (they burrow in during the day and come out mainly at night) eat ramshorns (which can eat plants) and look nice! In hard water they seem to do well, growing good shells - I've a few who are about an inch in length now.

Let me know if I can help!

UPDATE: I've got some now, thanks for all the offers tho! My mum went on a shopping trip and i managed to talk her into going into a pet store and picking some up for me

they also gave me a dark snail which i have know idea what it is, mum said the lady at the store said something about plants, but wasnt sure if she said lives in them, or eats them! So at the moment its still in the bucket... i'll be taking pics later and try and identify it. It has a left side opening, so im hoping this is quite rare...

thanks again
