I wouldny put crustaceans from river if i was you. You can by crustaceans tho from your lfs.

i could be wrong, but i believe most loaches will eat whatever crustaceans you can find...

Yeah, loaches are vicious towards inverts. I had some (adult) ghost shrimp with my dojo loaches, who were only 4" long at the time, and even with plenty of hiding space and plenty of food on the loaches' part, all seven shrimp were gobbled down in a week or so.

My loaches also attacked my two mystery snails in an attempt to get at their fleshy innards; thank God for the snail's shell door. Sadly, when I moved, the snails in the bucket died of ammonia poisoning...
